TGC Cares is a program we developed to share events, programs, causes that we care about. We have always cared about these things, we just wanted a way to live it out loud and share with others. A helping hand whether it be physical, mental, prayer, financial etc. goes a long way, spreading the word, sharing our fun and support to bring awareness to others whether it be for a good cause or just for fun is the least we can do.
TGC and LCC
TGC is proud to be a part of LCC’s construction program. We allow their class to use our projects as real life examples to learn from. Part of that is being able to tour the site during different phases of construction.
TGC participates in the Lansing Art Council’s Placemaking summit to support our mission of making our city a better place and learn how we can involve community placemaking in our projects. The Placemaking summit is a leadership event that teaches people about leadership and creativity.
TGC partnered with the Lansing Police Department, Integrity Interiors and Lug Nuts Stadium, to provide a secure, safe, and fun environment for a successful Polar Plunge event. As many of you know Polar Plunges are events held to help raise money for the Special Olympics. There was a great turnout and even though we are not looking forward to winter we are looking forward to supporting our Michigan Law Enforcement and Special Olympics.
Community Involvement in TGC Projects
Here at TGC we pride ourselves on community involvement and input on our projects. You can see from our very first rendering of the Venue to the current design of the building being built as well as our design for the future Provident Place, there were major changes and impacts to design that came directly from the community. There was a public forum held where our very own Scott Gillespie fielded questions and concerns pertaining to these projects. He also received valuable input from the community that inspired the design changes for the projects.
St. Pattys Day St. Vincent’s Catholic Charities Event
In a nod to Scott’s Irish Heritage we thought it would be fun to host a get to get together while benefiting a cause that is near and dear to our hearts. Folks had a great time getting their Irish on and teaming up to generate a donation of over $4,500 to Saint Vincent Catholic Charities.
Strange Matter at The Venue
In recognizing our commercial tenant Strange Matter Coffee we all join the fun to watch Cara and her staff drench Scott in Coffee. Needless to say we have lots of fun with our tenants.
TGC takes on Lansing City Cleanup
Our TGC team joined many other volunteers in an effort to cleanup the city of Lansing.
Conquest Grand Opening
TGC is proud to have been the General Contractor for Conquest in Dewitt we had a great time admiring the final product and sharing everyone’s excitement for the long awaited gym.
Scott Gillespie speaks at The Grand River Connection
TGC was honored that the Grand River Connection asked Scott to speak with their young professionals. He enjoyed sharing his vision and what we do at TGC. They were a very engaged group with lots of great questions.
St. Vincent’s Catholic Charities Tour
In order to get a better understanding of the valuable asset that St. Vincent’s Catholic Charities is to our community, we joined their staff for a tour. Our tour was filled with education, history, inspirational stories and a message filled with hope. It left us wanting to continue our involvement and thinking of more ways we can support the efforts of St. Vincent’s Catholic Charities.
Strange Matter Coffee Downtown Opening
The anticipation almost killed us, so of course our team had to share in the Grand Opening excitement of Strange Matter Coffee Downtown. It was everything we hoped for and more, but with it being in the front of our office building we are thinking of relocating as this is not help our Strange Matter Coffee addiction.
